MORECAMBE CAR CLUB AUTOTESTS
|
An autotest involves driving around a set course, marked out with traffic cones and completing manouvers en-route. These manouvers may involve stopping
astride an imaginary line between two cones, reversing into a garage marked out using trafic cones etc. Autotesting tests the drivers ability to judge
where the limits of both the car and him or herself lie without risking serious damage and without the need for any special equipment. Morecambe Car Club's
autotest series is a competitive and varied championship. The Championshipstarts in January and continues through to May, it resumes again in September and
the final round is the Boxing Day Autotest. The series uses several venues including Halton Bridging Camp and Aggregate Industries Back Lane Quarry to name
but a couple. Further details can be obtained from Derek Shepherd on 01524 412505 or
